The Vichiaccio is found in the place "Ponte di Gabbiano", a small fraction of Mercatale Val di Pesa.  on the road between Florence and Siena. The Vichiaccio, for its particular geographical position, it is a good point of departure to visit the territories of the Chianti Classico, the cities of Florence and Siena and the historical suburbs of Impruneta (famous for the Cotto), Greve in Chianti (chief town of the Chianti Gallo Nero) and San Casciano Val di Pesa, XIII century fortified village.

Coming from North, go out of the A1 motorway to “Firenze-Certosa” and go on in direction San Casciano (SSN ° 2). After about 8 km, in Falciani resort, turn left towards Greve In Chianti. Drive trough the small village of Ferrone; turn right for San Casciano and immediately later left, following the tourist sign “Centro Congressi San Angelo Vicolabate". Cover the excavated road to few meters and at once turn right, to the number 32.

The long private road about 500 meters will lead, at the end of a short and steep slope, to The Vichiaccio

Coming from South, go out go out of the A1 motorway to “Firenze Sud” and follow the indications for Grassina/Greve In Chianti (S.SN ° 222). After about 12 km, arrived to the village of Strada In Chianti, turn right for Ferrone. Covered the road up to Ferrone, turn left for Greve In Chianti. After about 3 km, turn right for San Casciano and at once the cellar “Castelli di Grevepesa” to left, following the tourist sign “Centro Congressi San Angelo Vicolabate". Cover the excavated road to few meters and at once turn right, to the number 32. The long private road about 500 meters will lead you, at the end of a short and steep slope, to the Vichiaccio.

Il Vichiaccio is far about 10 km from Greve In Chianti, famous for the wine production and 10 km from San Casciano Val di Pesa.

Placed at 20 km from Florence and 40 from Siena, Vichiaccio is very easily reachable both from the A1 Milan, Rome motorway and the Florence, Siena freeway.
